"The highlight for us was of course the experience on Gecko.  Within the first 2 hours a Sailfish was caught and I was able to live a life long dream of swimming with dolphins.  They came within 3 meters of me and hung around for about 10 mins. Breath taking … Your crew were superb, such gentle souls.  They really warmed my heart, I even had a little cry when I said goodbye".
 Lee Ann Baker July 2010

"Albert, Maurice and Jean make this boat and trip very, very special. The unexpected bonus was the chance to rediscover and strengthen family bonds, away from the noise of our cluttered lives".
 Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell

The Gecko ..

GeckoGecko is a 2007 Jaguar 36 catamaran, 11 x 7 m, and is stable and comfortable. She never really got the chance to go very far in Cape Town until we found her and sent her to a new life in Nosy Be.

She sleeps 6 people (8 at a squeeze) in four double cabins with two showers and four toilets (two chemical). The cabins have plenty of ventilation, fans, reading lamps, and fresh, crisp white linen. (For larger groups of 8-10 people, we can arrange the use of a bigger yacht).

Gecko The saloon, exceptionally airy and bright with wrap around windows which provide a 360 degree view, has comfortable seating for 6. Big, wide fold-back doors lead out into the generous cockpit area. Here there is plenty more seating under an awning where you will take most of your meals.

On the forward deck there are two large trapezes ideal for tanning and reading your book with the water gently lapping beneath you. This is the spot where you can have your Celine Deon moment at the bow - possibly with dolphins racing below you!

Gecko coloursThere is a fresh-water deck shower for rinsing after swimming.

The galley (kitchen) has a three plate gas stove and plenty of fridge and freezer space ensuring that your drinks are ice cold at all times and your food made from the freshest ingredients.

And just because you are on a boat it does not mean you should not get the little niceties one gets in hotels and our crew are trained to add something special to your experience.

Some recent Feedback:-

"I have done quite a bit of travels along the SA and Mozambican coast and can honestly say that Madagascar is miles above them ... we had the most amazing snorkelling and Alfred was great taking us to all sorts of different coral reefs and the water was a perfect temperature to spent hours bobbing around.  Fishing was great, in fact too good where we realised all the tackle we had was too small for the fish there, however had great fun doing all the different types of fishing and now know what to take next time ... would have been great to do another day in the North for fishing.  We were extremely lucky with the dolphins and whales and as you know we were spoilt with swimming with a whale shark - an experience I will never forget!!"  Angela Beresford-Miller August 2010 .
